Insights into the painting trade and our process

Having someone in to give you a painting quote on your project can feel overwhelming as a home owner.  From the painting estimate, to the products we use, it can feel daunting to understand everything we are doing and how we approach our projects. Here, I will address certain questions you may have about who we are, how we approach each painting project, why we use certain products or just give my feedback on other things painting related.  If you have your own question in regards to anything painting related or what areas around Regina we service, please feel free to comment and we will reply ASAP.

FAQ

What can I expect with the painting estimate?

We will show up at the scheduled time and will go over each and every aspect of what you are looking to have done.  We will also have questions of our own as well to determine a correct price for your painting project.

Communication is key and it starts with asking and answering all appropriate questions

What areas outside of Regina do you cover?

We usually work within an hour distance from Regina, but at times, we will make exceptions.

I see you have certain brands of paint you use... can we choose a different brand or buy the paint?

More often than not, we like to use our preferred brands of paint and would rather buy it ourselves to make sure we are getting the correct colors, sheens and products.  We know what to expect in terms of durability and quality from our chosen products, as well as understanding the amounts of each we will need to fully finish your painting project.  We will however use different brands than what we use, but we will not offer our usual warranties and guarantees. You can purchase our preferred products yourself as well and we will give our usual warranties and guarantees, but may become more expensive due to less discounts and more frequent stops at the paint store if quantities aren't enough

Is eggshell a colour?

This is a question we get asked and the answer is no, eggshell is not a colour, it is a sheen of paint.  Different sheens are used on different substrates for different reasons.  I will address different sheens in their own post below
